Angela Zhao

Associate Attorney

Angela Zhao is a Tax Attorney at KJMLAW Partners whose practice focuses on advising individuals and businesses on a wide range of federal tax matters. She assists clients with tax planning and compliance issues involving individual, corporate, and partnership taxation, helping them navigate complex tax rules while structuring transactions in a tax-efficient manner.

Her practice includes advising on corporate and partnership formations, entity structuring, and the tax application of timing and accounting rules that are central to effective business tax planning. Angela works closely with clients and senior attorneys to analyze the tax implications of various structures and transactions, assisting in the development of strategies designed to optimize tax outcomes while maintaining compliance with federal tax law.

Prior to joining KJMLAW Partners, Angela worked as an International Tax Associate at RSM US LLP, where she advised multinational clients on cross-border tax matters. Her work included international tax compliance, reporting obligations, and planning considerations related to global business operations.

Angela received her Bachelor’s degree in both Political Science and Economics, with a minor in Accounting, from the University of California, Irvine. She earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from Loyola Law School in 2023. Angela is admitted to practice law in California and New York.

Outside of her legal practice, Angela enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
