Zye Acuna, Paralegal
Zye graduated from University of California, Irvine where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Criminology, Law & Society. She obtained a certification in Paralegal Studies from California State University, Los Angeles in June 2014. She joined KJMLAW Partners in 2009 as a receptionist, but soon became a Legal Assistant then Paralegal. Currently, as Senior Paralegal, she assists the estate planning department with simple and complex estate planning cases, overlapping her knowledge of corporate formations and maintenance. Zye’s professional and personal skills are geared towards creating a seamless experience to allow clients to easily navigate the entire estate planning process.
Lily Baer, Administrative Assistant
Lily Baer joined KJMLAW Partners in September 2025. As an Administrative Assistant on the marketing team, she assists with social media and website maintenance, conference and event preparation, data entry and organization, and communication with clients, vendors, and other professionals.
In April 2025, Lily graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California Baptist University. Prior to that, she earned an Associate in Science in Administration of Justice for Transfer from Pasadena City College.
Before joining the firm, Lily worked in a variety of customer service, food service, and educational roles, which helped develop her problem-solving and communication skills.
Lily is a member of the criminal justice honors society, Alpha Phi Sigma, and enjoys church, the performing arts, and sports.
Aimee Castaneda, Administrative Assistant
Aimee Castaneda serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Estate Planning Department. She manages attorney calendars, assists with processing estate planning packages, and supports the department with a variety of administrative tasks to help ensure daily operations run smoothly. She is known for her organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Since joining the firm in March 2025, Aimee has become a dependable source of support for both attorneys and staff.
Prior to joining the firm, Aimee gained several years of administrative experience working with various companies, where she developed strong communication and client service skills. She aspires to further her education and pursue a career as a paralegal in the near future.
Brooke Eshbach, Receptionist
Brooke serves as a Receptionist at KJMLAW Partners. In this role, she manages incoming calls, greets and assists clients during in-person meetings, and supports the overall daily operations of the office by maintaining organization, handling inventory, and ensuring supplies are consistently stocked. She helps create a welcoming and efficient environment for both clients and staff. Brooke is known for her positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and ability to stay composed in fast-paced environments.
With years of experience in customer-facing roles, she brings a strong foundation in communication and client care. Since joining the firm in August 2025, she has developed a growing interest in the legal field and is eager to continue building her career within the industry.
Lexi Freeman, Intake Coordinator
Lexi Freeman joined KJMLAW Partners in August 2025 as an Intake Coordinator, where she manages communication with prospective clients, schedules consultations, gathers matter information, and helps ensure a smooth intake experience.
Prior to joining the firm, Lexi worked as a Funeral Arranger, where she developed a compassionate, client-focused approach to assisting individuals during difficult and emotional times. Her background in the funeral industry allows her to support clients with professionalism, empathy, and care from their very first interaction with the firm, helping them feel supported throughout the intake process.
In her free time, Lexi enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops.
Eileen Gable, Law Firm Administrator
Eileen Gable is the Law Firm Administrator at KJMLAW Partners. Eileen supervises firm operations and functions, including human resources, managing the support staff, overseeing administrative and billing matters, and firm marketing. Eileen’s proven ability to lead various teams and her wide range of law firm experience allows for efficient and effective business operation. She works closely with senior management to create a supportive and focused work environment.
Eileen began her legal career with a civil litigation firm while enrolled at Pasadena City College’s paralegal program. She then spent several years as a family law paralegal before joining the firm as a litigation paralegal in 2019. Eileen graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and obtained her Paralegal Certificate from Pasadena City College.
Laurie Kiefer, Accounts Receivable Coordinator
Laurie Kiefer serves as the Accounts Receivable Coordinator. In this role, she manages payments, invoicing accuracy, timely collections, and data management. Through these responsibilities she ensures that accounts remain up-to-date while maintaining important client communications.
Laurie shines in her attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent client relationship skills. Since joining the firm in October 2025, she has played a key role in developing data management systems and communication strategies to benefit the long-term health of the firm.
Prior to joining the team, Laurie worked in the Automotive Aftermarket in various roles where her business knowledge flourished and she learned the language of business and strives to connect that to every facet of the firm. She also worked in customer service at the Disneyland Resort where she sharpened her client relationship skills.
Laurie earned her two Associate of Science degrees in Accounting and Business in June 2026 from Pasadena City College.
Alma Lanche, Marketing Coordinator
Alma is the Marketing Coordinator at KJMLAW Partners, where she supports the firm’s marketing and communications initiatives through content development, strategic planning, and event coordination. With experience in marketing and communications, she helps enhance the firm’s visibility across digital and in-person platforms. Her background includes content creation, campaign execution, audience engagement, and the promotion of conferences, speaking engagements, and industry events.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine. She also holds associate degrees in economics, social and behavioral sciences, and natural sciences from Pasadena City College.
In her free time, she volunteers with local environmental organizations to promote ecological conservation, restoration, and land stewardship.
Dahena Martinez, Administrative Assistant
Dahena serves as an Administrative Assistant, where she supports the firm’s attorneys through a wide range of administrative and client service functions. Her responsibilities include managing attorney schedules and calendaring, coordinating client communications, and helping ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the firm.
Since joining the firm in March 2025, Dahena has played an integral role in supporting daily operations by providing dependable administrative assistance and fostering clear, professional communication with clients. She is known for her strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Dahena earned her Bachelor of Science in Management, Business, and Economics from the University of California, Merced. Outside of the office, she enjoys staying active and spending time at the gym.
Sebastian Moore, Administrative Assistant
Sebastian serves as an Administrative Assistant for KJMLAW Partners. Before joining the firm in July 2024, Sebastian was a sports journalist for the Outlook Newsgroup. Sebastian graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2021 where he received degrees in journalism and communications.
Priscilla Ortez, Administrative Assistant
Priscilla Ortez joined KJMLAW Partners in September 2024 as an Administrative Assistant supporting with filing and reception. She currently serves as the legal assistant for trust administration and probate matters. Priscilla graduated in 2024 from the University of California, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minor in Kinesiology while working in customer service in various roles gaining experience with assisting clientele.
Edgar Ramirez, Paralegal
Edgar serves as a Paralegal for KJMLAW Partners handling trust administration and probate matters. He obtained his certification in Paralegal Studies at CSULA in May 2023 before joining the firm in September 2023. Edgar holds a bachelor’s degree in Child Development from California State University, Los Angeles.
Valeriia Shaposhnykova, File Clerk
Valeriia Shaposhnykova joined KJMLAW Partners in August 2024 as a File Clerk. In this role she is responsible for organizing and maintaining physical and electronic documents, ensuring efficient record-keeping, and managing outboxes and the firm’s folder room. Prior to joining the firm, Valeriia Shaposhnykova worked as a manager in customer service, overseeing shipping operations, record management, and client communications. Later, she gained administrative experience with a focus on spreadsheets and document processing. Valeriia Shaposhnykova holds a degree in Chinese and English Philology from Oles Honchar Dnipro National University and is a native speaker of Russian and Ukrainian.
Alex Wagner, Legal Assistant
Alex Wagner serves as a Legal Assistant for KJMLAW Partners handling trust administration, estate planning, civil litigation, and probate litigation support as needed. In April 2022 Alex joined the firm as a file clerk, and moved to his current position a few months later.
After serving in the Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer from February 2016 to July 2020, he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. Alex’s law career began when serving as a legal assistant in the entertainment law industry in 2020. He graduated from Pasadena City College with two associates degrees, in Social and Behavioral Sciences and Law, Public Policy, and Society. He graduated in 2025 from California State University, Los Angeles, with a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Law Studies. During his time there, he was part of the Veterans Resource Center and the Pre-Law Society.
Serinna Xu, Paralegal
Chao Serinna Xu joined KJMLAW Partners in November 2024 and serves as a Paralegal for litigation matters. Serinna is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese. She graduated from Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland where she earned a master’s degree in education. In 2021, she obtained a Paralegal Certificate from the University of California, Los Angeles. With over four years of experience in probate and family law, Serinna plays an active role in assisting attorneys with a wide range of matters during all phases of the litigation process.
