(PASADENA, CA) – Firm partners Kevin J. Moore and Debby Doitch announced Andrew D. Nutbrown joining as the newest partner of KJMLAW Partners, PLC on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

Debby Doitch lauded Nutbrown’s promotion, affirming, “I am honored to welcome Andrew as a partner of the firm. Having personally witnessed his growth, legal expertise and dedication, I look forward to our next chapter and continued growth and success with him alongside us as partner.” Doitch, a 15-year attorney with KJMLAW Partners, has mentored and worked with Nutbrown since his arrival at the firm in 2022.

Upon the firm’s announcement, Nutbrown stated, “I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to further my tenure at KJMLAW Partners as their newest partner. I am looking forward to the continued growth of the firm and I appreciate all the support Kevin and Debby have provided during my time at the firm.”

At KJMLAW Partners, Nutbrown primarily handles trust administration and estate planning, with a focus on developing comprehensive estate plans for high-net worth individuals with both domestic and international property interests. Nutbrown also prepares the firm’s estate tax returns and gift tax returns.

Following Nutbrown’s graduation from the University of Western Ontario, Nutbrown’s practice began in his home province of Ontario, Canada before he moved to California and joined KJMLAW Partners as an associate attorney in 2022. Nutbrown remains a licensed attorney in both Ontario and California, and his practice has a focus on assisting clients in navigating interjurisdictional issues in estate planning and estate administration, particularly between Canada and the United States. This has supplemented Kevin J. Moore’s already established international estate planning practice that he developed over the course of the last thirty years.

Nutbrown is originally from Eden, Ontario, Canada, a rural township located in Southwestern Ontario. Although he escaped the sometimes cruel Canadian winters, he still enjoys keeping to his roots by playing ice hockey locally in Pasadena.
