What is the difference between a trustee and a beneficiary?

A trustee manages and administers the trust assets and must be impartial and in the best interest of all beneficiaries and not self-serving. A beneficiary gets benefits from the trust like distributions or use of assets and has the right to make sure the trust is managed properly.

What can I expect after an intake?

Once an intake is conducted by our Intake Coordinator, an attorney will be consulted about whether or not KJMLAW Partners can take your case. An attorney may request a separate consultation before agreeing to take on a case. If the attorney takes your case, you will receive a retainer to be signed and returned.
