(PASADENA, CA) – Partner Kevin J. Moore gave a presentation on Spousal Lifetime Access Trusts (SLATs) and Spousal Lifetime Access Non-Grantor Trusts (SLANTs) to members of the Pasadena Bar Association on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Moore’s presentation was one of the two in-person events hosted by the association held that month and welcomed approximately 20 guests to the meeting held in downtown Pasadena, co-chaired by Kim Frasca-Delaney and Ovsep Akopchikyan.

Moore, who is certified by the State Bar of California in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, expounded on the purpose and use of SLATs and SLANTs in married couples’ estate planning strategies, particularly for tax planning.

“Strategic planning for the purpose of navigating tax law and planning one’s estate is paramount when thinking of the future,” Moore claimed. “Getting to share this knowledge with other attorneys is a privilege. I’m profoundly grateful to Kim and the Pasadena Bar Association for the opportunity to do so,” he added, referring to Kim Frasca-Delaney, the association’s Tax and Probate section leader.

Frasca-Delaney shared that “Kevin speaks regularly about estate planning and after his presentation at STEP OC with my colleague Greg Custer at the helm, Kevin was an obvious choice to have speak in his backyard in Pasadena.”

Moore has helped clients for over 30 years with tax and estate planning, holds a Master of Laws degree in International Taxation and Business, and served as an International Business Tax Attorney.
